On October 8, 2022, New Story Schools brought together families and community members for a Fall Festival at the Columbus campus. The attendees had the opportunity to participate in sensory-friendly activities including games, face painting, bouncy houses, and pumpkin painting.
Dana Shelbo, School Office Director, described the impact the fall festival had on the Columbus community. “It’s very exciting to see students have a good time outside of academics and create memories with their families,” said Shelbo. “Our school is unique because we can offer our students authentic school experiences like this in a setting that they feel comfortable in.”
New Story Schools includes five campuses in Athens, Columbus, Independence, Lancaster, and Sandusky, serving students with special education and behavioral support needs in grades kindergarten through 12, ages 5 – 22.
