In January 2026, New Story Schools new campus in Berea, Ohio will open its doors, expanding services for students ages 5–21 with autism and emotional support needs. Located at 56 Adelbert Street, Berea, OH 44017, the school will feature 13 classrooms and a secure outdoor playground, creating space for both focused learning and supervised outdoor time.

New Story Berea will offer autism support, social emotional learning (SEL), behavior management and training, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) built into the school day. Programming will be adjusted to each student’s needs using assessments and evidence-based strategies to track progress. A transition program will help older students build life skills, prepare for work, and participate more independently in the community.

The school will partner closely with local districts and families to provide a more intensive, highly structured option for students who need additional support.

“We’re excited to bring New Story Schools to Berea and to work side-by-side with local districts and families,” said Paul Cowan, Regional Vice President at New Story Schools. “By offering autism support and social emotional learning together in a setting designed specifically for students with special needs, we can help students access the supports they need without leaving their community.”
