About New Story Schools

New Story Schools is an educational organization comprised of special education schools in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia. New Story Schools in Ohio and Pennsylvania, and Rivermont Schools in Virginia, offer an academic learning environment integrated with behavior support services for students ages 5 through 21 experiencing social, emotional, educational, and behavioral challenges. As an out of district educational placement, we work hand-in-hand with families, school districts and our partners to create an individualized program unique to each student.

Our Schools serve students with autism spectrum disorder, behavioral, and emotional challenges, with the primary goal of providing each student with the knowledge, skills, and tools for a successful return back to their sending district.

Our vision is for all students to grow and to develop as individuals to prepare for meaningful adult lives. Since the company’s inception in 1997, our highly skilled and passionate educators, clinicians, and therapists have worked with thousands of students and their families, empowering them to reach their goals.

New Story Schools develops a unique plan for each student and integrates academic, behavioral and social-emotional instruction to ensure each student has the necessary supports to grow, learn and achieve their goals.

Our multi-disciplinary teams comprised of educators, behavior analysts, therapists and support staff, apply evidence-based strategies as outlined in the student’s individualized plan to promote success.
