New Story Schools Athens teacher Christy Grogg-Green has been selected as a nominee for National Life Group’s 2025–2026 LifeChanger of the Year, a nationwide honor that spotlights K–12 educators and school employees who go above and beyond for students and their school communities.

Her nomination, submitted anonymously, highlights the supportive tone she sets in the classroom through relationship-building, consistent routines, and an environment where students feel valued and encouraged to grow.

“Ms. Grogg-Green praises effort and improvement, not just results. She uses encouraging language, even when correcting behavior. She celebrates small wins and growth,” shared the nominator.

Winners are selected by a committee of past honorees and education professionals and will be announced in early 2026.
