Edge of Autism Walk

Edge of Autism Walk

New Story Schools participated in the local Edge of Autism Walk this Saturday to benefit the Tommy Foundation. This year’s theme, Myths and Legends, brought families from across the Lancaster area to rally support, make connections, donate and have a great time. Once again, the walk featured carnival rides, games, magicians and clowns.

The Edge of Autism walk ultimately made $45,000 thanks to the participation and sponsorship of folks.

New Story Schools in Lancaster were out in force! They set up a booth with homemade, non-toxic slime for kids to get their hands into! They brought their connect four-game and popcorn maker. The administrative team tye-dyed over a hundred New Story Shirts for staff, students and their families.

New Story Schools takes opportunities throughout the year to raise funds for the Tommy Foundation. This year, the school’s goal was to raise $3,500 for charity, but it went above and beyond and raised over $4,000! It achieved this goal with small steps and small opportunities throughout the year, like selling sandwiches, $1 pretzels, penny wars, and paint nights.
