However, we know that for most families, the need for services and support rarely ends with the school day. Luckily, most areas offer a lot of additional services for emotional support.

Emotional Support Resources:
- Commonwealth Health Counseling Services – offers several services including Transitional Aged Youth Services, Children’s Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services and a Community Counseling Autism Program, as well as many different options for adults. - Luzerne County Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services – offers Family Based Services, Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services, Community and School-Based Behavioral Health Services, Drug and Alcohol Services, Crisis Intervention and more. - Children’s Service Center – Located in Wilkes-Barre, PA, this center offers many options for families such as ABA and Behavioral Health Services, Autism Family Support, Crisis Interventions, Family Services, and a Youth Skills Development Program. - Luzerne County CASSP Program – “a comprehensive system of care for children and adolescents with or at risk of developing serious emotional disturbance and/or substance use disorders and their families.
