New Story Schools prides itself on being part of the vast and vibrant special education community in the areas we serve. However, we know that for most families, the need for services and support rarely ends with the school day. Luckily, most areas offer a lot of additional services for autism and emotional support.

Autism and Emotional Support Resources:  

Wellness Place, LLC is a local counseling center focused on helping individuals, couples, groups, or families on their journey to wellbeing. Middle Peninsula Northern Neck CSB “provides services designed to help members of our community achieve their individual goals. This includes recovery. MPNN CSB has over 60 distinct programs to aid and support all ages and many situations; from babies with developmental delays to teens who have experienced trauma; from adults with a serious mental illness to individuals struggling to maintain a drug-free life. Youth and Family Services of Virginia, Inc. – ASSET Program “is designed to offer holistic, innovative, research-based treatment to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families.” They offer ABA services, autism education and parent training, 24-hour crisis intervention, and several other services.
