2020 Graduation Ceremonies

We are finding ways to be creative with our graduation ceremonies this year. Whether it be a parade, a parking lot ceremony, a socially distanced ceremony, or something we have yet to think of, we are hopeful we can honor all of our graduates, while still maintaining safety.
New Story Schools Indiana
New Story Schools in Indiana kicked off the graduation season with a graduation parade. Staff decorated their cars with posters, balloons, streamers and more, and drove past the graduates' houses.
New Story Schools Clearfield
New Story Schools in Clearfield celebrated the graduation of their lone graduate, Joe, with an outdoor ceremony, with just staff and family present.
Joe was an active participant in his education. He was an advocate for doing what is right and would often stand up for the right thing and try to influence his peers in a positive way. Joe secured part-time employment as a result of a field trip to Pizza Hut for the transition program. Following graduation, he plans to work full-time at Goodwill in nearby Falls Creek and maintain his part-time employment at Pizza Hut.
New Story Schools DuBois
New Story Schools in DuBois celebrated the graduation of their four 2020 graduates with a private ceremony, with just staff and families present.
Each graduate was presented with a speech and a certificate of graduation, and then they received a special prize. The DuBois and Sandy Township Police and Fire Departments drove by the school in a parade with their vehicles decorated with graduate congratulations.
New Story Schools Harrisburg
New Story Schools in Harrisburg went to visit their graduates to celebrate their achievements and send them out right. We're so proud of graduates Charlene and Nicholas!
New Story Schools Lancaster
New Story Schools in Lancaster celebrated their graduates on the front lawn. While maintaining appropriate social distancing measures, staff held a mini version of their usual ceremony. Students received their diplomas. Congratulations to all our graduates! You've worked so hard and we're so excited to watch you step into the next chapter of your lives!
